This is my final idea story board. This explains how I aim to create my final animation.
I will start by collecting facts and information about Coulsdon College. I wish to then take photographs to accompany the text I chose. I hope to then edit the information using Photoshop to add effects and colours. I then will chose sound to accompany the animated text and images. I believe that colour and sound will make it more attractive to my audience.

Comparison between animations.

I looked at two animations the first was the Volks Wagen 'Think Blue Symphony' animated advert. This is a great Stop Motion advertising animation. It is an animation of a person drawing each vehicle made my Volks Wagen in order to promote the selling of these vehicles. A colour scheme is used continuously through out which matches the logo. This is gives a great effect as you can see the connection between each.

The second animation I looked at was Red Bull's 'Evolution' animated advert. When created is seems it was made to look like a stop animation however it could have been made using Flash or After effects, which are both great programmes to use in order to produce this. This is RedBulls interpretation of evolution however I like the idea behind this as the stages of change are very obvious in order to see the progress.

I chose to use the 'Volks Wagen' Stop Motion animation as inspiration when creating my own final animation. I chose this as I found it more effective and appealing to the audience.
I believe that the audience would prefer it as when i watched it i enjoyed it and though it was intelligently made.

Feedback from final animation.

I created a animation based on the brief of advertising Coulsdon College. I was asked to cover as many subjects as possible and make it positive.
My animation contains animated text and hand written text and images accompanied by a selection of photographs.
I showed my target audience and they advised me on how i could improve my animation to make it more appealing. The positive feedback consisted of a good song choice which was bubbly and up lifting along with the photo's, the text was appropriate and covered college topics and resources and the choice of colour matched the college theme.

However to get a more positive response I could add the college logo to publicise a little more and add a few more cheesy photographs. I could also make the transitions more effective and smooth and add more colour like green which also matched the theme. To top it off if i added end credits i could possibly get a higher grade.

Final Animation.

This is my final animation. I believe I followed the brief as much as possible and produced a well created animation. I got feedback from the audience on how I could improve my animation and it follows.

Written comparison of Animated GIF.

These two videos are examples of stop animations. The first animation 'Marple College' is of children taking pictures of them as they walk around their school to show what their school is like.
However in the 'New York' video it beings with her playing on the piano which is loads of pictures shown one after the other, known as a Stop Motion. A Stop motion is simply a load of images taken in a sequence one after the other and put together.
Both animations have sound to accompany them as they are played which gives the audience a better understanding of what the animation is about.
Even though are both the same animation they give different effects.

Jamie Beck analysis.

Jamie Beck is a fashion photographer who has also used animated GIF's to produce, what he calls 'Cinemagraphs'.
My first reaction to Jamie Beck's work is that i appears to just be a photograph until you see the movement of the hair.

I find the settings very fitting for the purpose of the picture. The animated movement of the hair is soft but she is wearing bright lipstick. This contrasts with the image and stands out tremendously.
Jamie also created multiple animated images that produce a collect of images that fit together.
